Welcome to Charmly. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain the rules for downloading, installing, and using the Charmly Android app (“Charmly,” the “App,” or the “Service”), developed and operated by Knapps (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. About Charmly
Charmly is an interactive hanging-charm companion for Android. Depending on the features available in your version, the App may let you:
- Enjoy realistic, real-time 2D rope and pendulum physics.
- Browse rich collections of artistic, cultural, and decorative charms.
- Customize cords, chains, threads, and physics parameters (gravity, bounce, damping).
- Use Custom Studio to import photos from your device, remove their backgrounds on-device, and turn them into hanging charms.
- Enable Floating Companion to display and interact with a charm over other apps.
2. Using Charmly
A.Your Licence
As long as you follow these Terms, Knapps gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to install and use Charmly on Android devices you own or control. This licence is strictly for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
B.Things You Must Not Do
When using Charmly, you agree not to:
- Copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, decrypt, or try to extract the App’s source code, algorithms, or components, except where applicable law does not allow these restrictions.
- Bypass or interfere with digital rights management, licence checks, or subscription controls, including Google Play Billing validation.
- Rent, lease, sell, lend, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit Charmly or its custom physics engine.
- Use the App in a way that disrupts device performance, other software, or network infrastructure.
- Use Charmly for illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purposes.
3. Subscriptions, Payments, and In-App Purchases
A.Free Features and Charmly Pro
Charmly offers the following access tiers:
Includes starter charms from selected collections, standard cord styles, and basic physics controls. Supported by ads.
You may choose to watch a rewarded video ad to unlock Pro charms and premium features for 24 hours.
Unlocks 77+ Pro charms, exclusive cord styles (Rose Glow, Aurora Glow, Artisan Braids), full Custom Studio creation, and ad removal.
B.Billing and Automatic Renewal
All Charmly purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play’s applicable terms.
- Subscription plans: Charmly Pro is offered through monthly and annual auto-renewing plans under the base plan configuration
charmly_premium. - Payment: Your Google Play account will be charged when you confirm your purchase.
- Automatic renewal: Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Renewal charges: Google Play may charge your account within 24 hours before the next billing period begins at the price shown in Google Play.
C.Cancelling a Subscription and Requesting a Refund
You can manage or cancel your Charmly Pro subscription at any time through Google Play:
If you cancel, your Pro access will normally continue until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, your account will return to the free version.
Google Play handles payments and refund requests. Refunds are subject to the Google Play refund policy. Knapps does not process payments directly or issue monetary refunds itself.
4. Photos and Content You Create
A.How Custom Studio Handles Your Photos
Custom Studio lets you import photos from your device’s camera or gallery to create personalized hanging charms. Photo processing, background removal, and storage take place locally on your device. The photos you import are not uploaded to Knapps’ servers.
B.Your Rights and Responsibilities
You keep all intellectual property rights to the photos and images you import into Charmly. By importing or using content in the App, you confirm that:
- You own the content or have the permissions and licences needed to use it.
- Your content does not violate anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Your content does not contain illegal, defamatory, libellous, obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, or harmful material.
Because imported and created images remain strictly on your device and are not uploaded to our servers, you are solely responsible for the content you choose to use.
5. Intellectual Property
Charmly’s software, physics simulation, shaders, visual design, artwork, logos, trademarks, and user interface are owned by Knapps or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Examples of original Charmly artwork include designs such as Prism Nazar, Golden Sunburst, and Moonstone Drop.
Some charm designs may draw inspiration from popular culture, historical symbols, sports, or deities. These designs are artistic interpretations. Charmly is an independent app, and references to third-party people, brands, or studios do not mean that they endorse, sponsor, or are affiliated with Charmly.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you give Knapps a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use and implement that feedback without payment or attribution.
6. Floating Companion and Device Safety
Charmly’s optional Floating Companion uses Android’s SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW permission to show an interactive charm over other apps. Please use this feature responsibly:
- Keep important controls visible: Make sure the floating charm does not block emergency notifications, navigation directions, or important system buttons.
- Do not use it while driving or in hazardous situations: Do not interact with floating charms while driving a motor vehicle, riding a bicycle, crossing a street, or doing anything else where distraction could cause injury, death, or property damage.
- You control the overlay: You can move, resize, hide, or turn off the Floating Companion through the App’s settings or the ongoing notification in your Android notification shade.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Charmly is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
Knapps does not make any express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement.
We cannot guarantee that Charmly will always be available, secure, error-free, compatible with every device or Android version, or that every issue will be fixed immediately. Continuous rope-physics simulations and overlay services may use battery power and device resources. We do not guarantee a particular level of battery consumption or device temperature.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Knapps and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Charmly. This includes loss of profits, loss of data, device damage, or service interruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Knapps’ total liability for claims relating to these Terms or Charmly will not exceed the amount you paid to Knapps for Charmly Pro during the 12 months before the claim. If you have used only the free version, the stated limit is US$10.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where applicable law does not permit it to be excluded or limited.
9. Ending Your Use of Charmly
You can stop using Charmly at any time by uninstalling the App. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through Google Play.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue Charmly or any of its features. We may also terminate your licence if you breach these Terms, subject to applicable law.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you, disputes relating to these Terms or Charmly will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. If the laws where you live give you mandatory rights to bring a claim in a local court, including certain rights available to consumers in the European Union, those rights are not affected by this section.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will provide reasonable notice, for example by updating the “Last updated” date or displaying a notice in the App.
If you continue to use Charmly after the revised Terms take effect, your continued use will indicate acceptance of the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
